Entry Title: " Heads"
Susan Fraser-Hughes
, Calgary, Canada
Category: Other Creative, Professional

Entry Description:

Head 1 Charcoal on Mylar 39" x 59" Inspired by a series of corbels hanging within the 13th century Bishop's Palace at St David's in Wales, the "heads", entered for
this competition, became as much about the depiction of human faces, as they did about the exploration of self portrait and raw human emotion. While paying homage to the history of the site and the
absence of the presence of people, they explore the subconscious, and collective unconscious reaction initiated within myself.
