Danae : Performance and Architecture

Body and costume become one to construct new spaces where to explore the relationship between body and pregnancy and how this metamorphosis is translated to skin and entrapment through costume and performance. I have focus my project in Danae's greek myth. This myth accounts themes like tyranny, sex, money, life as well as transition. Danae is a girl trapped in a tower after a fatal profecy who becomes pregnant and experiments this journey from innocence to maturity, from freedom to entrapment, questioning the role of the young mother and the relationship with her son after a traumatic experience.
