Entry Title: " Figures"
Name:
Anki King
, Brooklyn,United States
Category: Painting, Professional

Entry Description:

Oil on canvas
The still-standing full size figures that often appear in my paintings are tall and slim, somewhat awkward with large hands. The human forms are used as a vehicle of expressing emotional memories and emotions. The figures are static; they simply stand in the middle of the canvas, meeting the viewer in a challenge for response. The direct and solemn work requires pondering of the image for a deeper search and understanding.
