So often in life we are used to seeing people praised and celebrated for their successes but we rarely even get an inkling of the pain and suffering they have endured. Using the training life of Acrobats to express this idea of behind-the-scenes training; the idea of having to try and try harder and harder again.
As an audience, all we ever see are the acrobats performing all sorts of acts in perfection and grace but we have never seen them backstage in the training to achieve the seemingly impossible. This series is an outright documentation of: failure, process, suffering, bruising and not giving up. It serves as a reminder that success never comes easy and its the journey that builds character.
It seeks to encourage all who are in difficulty, to remind everyone who trudge the tough road that it will be worth it in the end.

Born in Singapore, Zixi has learnt to find beauty in the vernacular, in the "everyday". Likely due to the mundane environment the little island, she often dreams of a bigger better world; a brighter every day.
Having won a Government scholarship from Design Singapore, she finally left Singapore to major in Illustrations at Central Saint Martins, London. Continuing to broaden her horizons, she has applied her abilities in illustrations to various mediums whilst exploring unique concepts and themes reflects her personal experiences and subjects which she is most interested in and concerned about. She has also worked on various collaborative projects with fashion and graphic designers. Zixi is always determined to improve her skills and apply them in trying to make the world a better place.
